What I do.  My name is Gem and here at Lasting Touch I create beautiful pieces of memorial jewellery.
I work to set ashes, hair, pet fur and other precious items into lasting pieces of  jewellery.   I also work with fingerprints, hand and pawprints and handwriting to create beautiful handmade keepsakes and charms.

I am not a big company, I am one person, offering a personal service to individual customers.  I make each piece myself, and each is hand crafted using a combination of traditional and modern methods and materials. 

Memorial Jewellery - If you have found my page because you have lost a loved one, my sincere condolences to you.  There is no immediate hurry to choose your jewellery however you will need to collect some prints if you would like to have this option at a later date. I also have a range of jewellery that features ashes and hair.

Ashes and hair/fur jewellery is made using a special high grade resin. Unfortunately the temperatures required to work with glass mean that it is impossible to set inclusions such as hair and fur this way, which is why I use resin instead.  I have worked hard to create an amazing range of stainless steel memorial jewellery that is hypoallergenic and suitable for most people to wear, it is highly durable and non tarnishing.  I also have a range fo sterling silver options if you prefer. 

How it works - In order to make your keepsake jewellery I will of course need your prints and/or inclusions (ie ashes/hair/fur etc).  These are usually collected using a special kit which I can send to you when you place your order.  If you have your ashes or prints ready to send and you don't need a collection kit, that's fine too.

If you already have prints you'd like to use, they can be scanned and emailed to me, or you can send a photocopy in the post.

What happens then? Simply pop your prints or inclusions in the post (paper prints can also be sent via email) and I will create your keepsake jewellery and have it ready to post within a timescale that suits you.  If you're in a real hurry, you can choose the fastest shipping option from just 1 day at checkout (available with selected items).
