I running a very limited business between Friday 20th December and Tuesday 7th January. Collection kits will be posted out on Tuesday 31st December and Tuesday 7th January (orders must be in the day before for posting on these dates). If you prefer to send your prints or inclusions to me in your own packaging rather than waiting to receive a collection kit, that is absolutely fine.
This beautiful memorial ashes pendant is made from stainless steel Your loved ones cremation ashes or hair can be pemanently set into the jewellery as a momento for you to keep.
Stainless steel is an excellent option if you are looking for jewellery that will not tranish or cause allergic reaction. Stainless steel is also extremely durable, although due to the delecate nature of the cz stones in this pendant, I do not recommend it for everyday wear (I have other designs suitable if you want a pendant you can wear ever day).
I use a very high quality crystal clear resin for my jewellery, specifically designed for jewellery.
The ring takes only a tiny pinch of ashes or snip of hair to make. You can send the ashes or hair to me in a sealed bag yourself or I can send a collection kit. Any unused ashes or hair will be returned to you along with your finished piece, or I can store them safely for future orders. It's up to you (if no preference is stated, inclusions will automatically be returned with the jewellery).
Choose from any of the colours listed. The colour in the photo is 'interference pink/blue' it is not listed but if you weant this just ask. I will personally fill the charm with the colour of your choice and a small amount of either cremation ashes, hair or pet fur. I am happy to work with both human and pet inclusions. If you are sending hair or fur, I recommend chooing a pearl colour for the best effect. Also please be aware that light coloured or grey hair may not show up well in the resin particularly if it is very fine.
Please note that each piece is unique, there may be slight variations in the colours and it is impossible to guarantee an extact colour or pattern. Scroll through the images to view the colour options.
If you have any specific requirements, for example if you prefer the ashes to be highly visable or hidden please select the appropriate option. Or if you would prefer a different colour to those shown or a custom colour mix, I can do that too.
Often, funeral directors will separate out a small amount of ashes or a lock of hair for the purpose of making keepsakes. If you have this, you are welcome to send the bag as it is, you do not need to handle the ashes any further if you don't want to. If the ashes have not been separated out, or you would prefer to separate them further, you can request a collection kit which will include a small bag big enough to hold around a teaspoon of ashes. Please do not send any more than a teaspoon as this will be more than enough for multiple orders. Any ashes that are not used in your order will be sent back to you with your jewellery. Alternatively, if you think you might want more items in the future, you can request for the ashes to be stored safely with me to save sending them through the post any more than necessary. Each piece is presented in a lovely slimline ring box, wrapped in tissue paper with your aftercare instructions and a polishing cloth and then packaged in a 2nd box to keep it safe during shipping. All outer packaging is completely unbranded to avoid spoiling any surprises!

How much ashes do you need? I generally ask for around a teaspoon of ashes, although that is way more than I actually need it gives me a good amount to be able to pick out the very best ashes for your jewellery.
How do I send the ashes to you? You can choose whether to receive and ashes collection kit or whether to send them yourself. My ashes collection kit contains a small bag to put your ashes into, and a larger one to ensure extra protection in the post. It also includes an envelope to return the ashes in.
Where do I send the ashes to? My address will be provided in the confirmation email after you order.
Can I deliver the ashes by hand? Most customers send their ashes via royal mail, however if you would prefer to deliver them by hand, you are welcome to do so as long as the ashes are well labelled, you can pop them through my letterbox at any time.
Can I collect my finished item? All orders will be posted out by Royal mail. I do not offer a collection service except on the 1 hour service. This is due to the fact that I cannot be disturbed when I am in the middle of making someones precious memorial jewellery.
What happens to any leftover ashes? Any leftover ashes will be returned to you unless you request for me to store them. If you think you might like to order more jewellery in the future and do not want to keep sending your ashes backwards and forwards in the post, I am happy to store up to a teaspoon worth of ashes for you. All ashes are stored in well labelled bags attached to your original order details. If you wish to use ashes in future please make sure you keep a note of the order number.
Can you set hair or pet fur instead of ashes? Some items can have hair or pet fur instead of ashes. Please be aware that not all hair will show up in resin, see the colour options tab for more details.
How long does it take? Please see the delivery tab for more information on how long our ashes jewellery takes to make.
Can I come and choose my jewellery in person? Lasting Touch is an online business and I do not keep product samples available to view. Most of the items you see on my website and social media pages are of customer orders, so I no longer have them. Please choose from one of the colour options in the drop down menu. Ashes will work with any of the colour options. For hair or pet fur I recommend choosing from the pearl options for the best effect. Please be aware that very fine, light coloured or grey hair does not always show up very well in the resin, it may be difficult to see it in the finished piece. Dark hair generally works best. I have added my most popular colours to the chart, however I do have more colours available if you don't see exactly what you are looking for. Please scroll through the images to see some examples of the different colours. If you don't see the particular colour that you want, you can select to have a custom colour mixed.
Please note that I do not guarantee to match 'birthstone' colours as these can vary greatly and natural gemstones will never look the same as resin created stones. I may be able to produce a colour that is similar to a particular birthstone, but it will not be an exact match. There is a small additional charge for opal colours, just due to the cost of the material. I use a high quality synthetic opal to ensure that I get consistent colours and effects. Opal is a stunning material that produces an iridescent shine, you will often see flecks of greens and blue in all of the opal colours, even if you choose pink or purple for example. this is the natural effect of opal.
All of the mica powders that I use are also 100% ethically sourced.
